Wedding Shop

EST 1998

Established in 1998, Peaches Wedding Shop is a family run company specialising in providing a one to one service to make sure you have the perfect dress for the perfect day.
Just some of the questions we get asked.

Do I need to book an appointment ?
It is always advisable to book an appointment, especially on Saturdays. This ensures that we have a fitting room available and an adviser to offer the best service possible. If you arrive without a pre booking, we will do our upmost to accommodate you but cannot guarantee.

When should I start looking for a dress ?
We would recommend 9 months to a year before your planned wedding date. Most dresses will take approximately 5 months to be delivered to the store. so in order to allow ample time for finding accessories and having fittings, order your dress at least 9 months in advance. Bridesmaids dresses can take almost as long.

Can I buy 'off the peg'.
We are aware that not everybody can order their dress that soon. Therefore we always have a selection of ex sample dresses that can be purchased 'off the peg' at discounted prices. Some of our suppliers offer a Rush Delivery service at an additional cost.

Do you have a good choice of dresses ?
Yes, we have dresses from size 6 to 28 in store with ample selection in plus sizes. The average cost of a new gown is between £700 - £1000 although we stock dresses to suit all budgets.

What do alterations cost ?
We don't have a 'price list' for alterations as they are calculated by the dressmaker and are determined by what needs doing. You are only charged for the work carried out on your dress, not for the actual fitting.

Will you store my dress ?
We will store your dress right up until the day before your wedding. Once your alterations are complete, your dress will be steamed and hung ready for you to collect on an agreed date.

Who should I bring with me to my appointment ?
It would be a good idea to go looking with one or two people whose opinions you value but always remember you are the bride and ultimately it's about how you feel. We are here to help and advise but the decision has to be yours.
